Psychology is the discipline that studies i behavior, the personality e i mental processes of individuals.
Currently psychology is one discipline compound, whose methods of research they range from those strictly experimental (laboratory or field) to those more ethnographically oriented (for example: some approaches of the cultural psychology); from a strictly individual dimension (for example: Study at psychophysical, psychotherapy individual, etc.), methods with greater attention to the social and group aspect (for example: The study of psychological dynamics in organizations, the work psychology which uses the so -called “focal groups”, etc.). These diversity of approaches has produced an articulation of psychological screens, with different matrices epistemological – cultural reference.
Psychology differs from psychiatry, as the latter is a medical discipline, specifically focused on health intervention regarding psychopathological disorders with psychotropic drugs (Wikipedia).
